Day 1: Arrival in Kigali

Arrival at Kigali International Airport. Meet your guide and transfer to your hotel. Depending on arrival time, enjoy a city tour including the Kigali Genocide Memorial and local markets. Evening safari briefing and welcome dinner.

Day 2: Kigali – Volcanoes National Park

After breakfast, drive to Volcanoes National Park through beautiful terraced hillsides. Visit the Iby'Iwacu Cultural Village for traditional performances and community interaction. Check into your lodge with stunning volcano views.

Day 3: First Gorilla Trekking Experience

Early morning transfer to park headquarters for gorilla trekking briefing. Begin your trek through the bamboo forest to find one of the habituated mountain gorilla families. Spend one magical hour observing these magnificent creatures. Afternoon at leisure to relax.

Day 4: Golden Monkey Trekking

Morning trek to see the endangered golden monkeys in their natural habitat. These playful and photogenic primates are unique to the Virunga region. Afternoon visit to the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund to learn about conservation efforts.

Day 5: Volcanoes NP – Lake Kivu

After breakfast, drive to beautiful Lake Kivu. Enjoy a boat cruise on the lake, visit fishing villages, and learn about local life. Check into your lakeside resort and enjoy optional spa treatments or swimming in the lake.

Day 6: Lake Kivu – Nyungwe Forest

Morning at leisure at Lake Kivu. After lunch, drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park, one of Africa's oldest rainforests. The journey offers spectacular views of tea plantations and rolling hills. Evening forest walk to spot nocturnal wildlife.

Day 7: Chimpanzee Trekking in Nyungwe

Early morning chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe Forest. This ancient rainforest is home to 13 primate species. Afternoon canopy walk experience - a suspended bridge through the forest canopy offering incredible views and bird watching opportunities.

Day 8: Nyungwe – Kigali

Morning visit to a tea plantation to learn about Rwanda's famous tea production. Drive back to Kigali with lunch en route. Afternoon souvenir shopping at local markets. Farewell dinner at one of Kigali's finest restaurants.

Day 9: Kigali Departure

Enjoy a final Rwandan breakfast. Depending on your flight schedule, optional last-minute city exploration or relaxation at your hotel. Transfer to Kigali International Airport for your departure flight with unforgettable memories.
